THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM: UPLOADING FILES TO GOOGLE JAMBOARD

A part of expanding the landscape for learning through design thinking means connecting to stakeholders beyond the school environment. This means using connective technologies to do that. Imagine the opportunities for student-designers when they can potentially engage people from anywhere in the world.

Doing this means developing ethnography techniques that can be used virtually. The pandemic taught me a great deal about this, as I had to move my client engagement online. Like remote learning, that was a challenge, but interacting through virtual experiences is here to stay.

Here is how to think about this: you’ll need a virtual whiteboard tool as well as the files used during a design workshop. I’m going to show you how to load the files into the virtual whiteboard. From there, it’s possible to conduct the virtual workshop.

To get started, download the ethnography tools that you want to use from the Chapter 6 resources. Then open Jamboard - you could use Miro or MURAL - the technology is generally very similar. From here, let’s watch the video:
