Cedar Falls School District and INVISION Architecture
Project Goal: Develop a new educational spatial ecology for a new high school in Cedar Falls, IA. Assist INVISION architects and interior designers in this effort.
Description: A successful referendum means that Cedar Falls will get a new high school. DJD’s involvement in this project is to provide educational programming services that will support the development of a new concept for teaching and learning in Cedar Falls.
What's Interesting? The relationship of formal to informal space in the new school and how that is leveraged for teaching and learning, the democratization of creative spaces in the school, departmental spatial adjacencies, the design of a new library and a school based on a consideration of an academic-social-creative design tension
